Jorge Puchaicela has been in the welding industry for 30 years and has an MS Degree in Welding Engineering from Ohio State University. He worked for Lincoln Electric Co. as a Technical Manager for Latin America for about 10 years, providing technical support for the main steel fabricators. As a former auditor for the AISC Quality Certification Program for Steel Fabricators, Jorge has conducted audits in the USA, Canada, China, Japan, Korea, and Latin America. He has also implemented welding mechanization processes in different segments of the industry. Formerly, Jorge was a certified pipe welder and certified welding inspector. He has developed a computer program to analyze and design welding procedures specifications. Now he is using his knowledge and experience to provide consulting services to the welding industry.
