Defaults values for operating factor and electrode efficiency are starting points only and represent typical or average values. To obtain realistic results it is strongly recommended to verify the accuracy of the data used in the cost analysis.

As the values for consumable costs / labor and overhead costs are easily obtained, the validity of the result will depend mainly on the values used for operating factor, deposition rate and electrode efficiency.
